Monica Davis-Allen
Mrs. Hinds County Plus America
Service Platform:
Cardiac Health Awareness
About Me
My name is Monica Davis Allen, and I am the 2025 Mrs. Hinds County Plus America delegate. I am a proud wife, mother, and grandmother. By profession I am an attorney, but by nature I am a servant leader and a counselor. Having experienced personal trauma and challenges throughout my lifetime as a young adult, I concentrate on sharing those experiences to help the next person. For instance, I was a divorcee and single mother of two for eight years. But for my trust and faith in God and my support system, I would not have been able to remain strong and persevere through every challenge. I would not have been able to achieve being appointed and serving as the youngest ever City Attorney for the City of Jackson, Mississippi, at the age of 33. I would not have had the courage to allow myself to love myself again, and to let in the love of my life due to trauma and fear. I would not have been able to look in the mirror and see beauty again. My goal in life is to pour into others so that they may live in a healthy and vibrant space mentally and physically. I understand that to do that, I must be a living example of the same.
About my Platform
I am an advocate for cardiac health awareness. In our communities, cardiac issues and heart attacks are more prevalent than ever due to lack of consistent healthcare and other disparities. We must bring awareness to this issue. My platform is very personal to me as my father died suddenly of cardiac arrest eight years ago. I wouldn’t want another person to feel this kind of loss when it can be prevented by regular wellness visits.
