ABOUT ME
I am Markeisha Robinson, from the heart and soul of the Mississippi Delta. I relocated to Jackson, Ms to get my Bachelors degree in Communicative Disorders from Thee Jackson State University. After falling in love with JSU, I went back to get my Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling. Mental Health is very important to me. I strive to be a walking billboard showcasing information about having healthy mental health. In addition to advocating for Mental Health I own an online boutique that caters to Plus Size women.

Platform
Helen Keller once said, “Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired, and success achieved.” My platform is S.T.R.E.T.C.H. Strive To Reach Esteem Through Character Heightening. Heightening is adding information, to build upon what was built already. Some people think of self-esteem as their inner voice , the voice that tells you whether you are good enough to do or achieve something. However, I feel as though, self-esteem is actually about how we value ourselves, and our perceptions about who we are and what we are capable of. I am an advocate for women having high self-esteem and valuing themselves. It does not matter about size, but the confidence one possesses. My platform will help women STRETCH into a healthier mindset.
