About My
Platform
My platform is R.I.D.E (Reimagining Intercultural Diabetes Education) by advocating the importance of linking education and analyzing the approach of diabetes awareness in the black community. I will promote and encourage routine wellness follow-ups, healthy eating, affordable fitness opportunities, and grow the community resources in rural communities in the Mississippi Delta. I chose this cause because I personally witnessed loved one’s battle with the diabetes disease and while working in health care, understand how the resources are not as tangible in my small hometown. Buckle up and RIDE with Chrissy!
